Last I spoke with the folks at Savage I was told sometime in January, but typically their estimated times around about 2 months off so I'd say late Feb or early March. I'll be talking to them again later next week so hopefully I'll be able to get an updated timeframe.

Definitely keep us updated, there are lots of people interested in the left handed models!
Hopefully i will be able to get them in Canada at the same time as they are available in the US

Great news lefty axis. I already bought a righty .223 real easy to work the bolt while shooting from a bipod. nice ltwt sporter. i replaced the trig with rifle basic standard unit. the pull is no longer street legal and works great. trigger was purchased for a left handed deluxe model from the 70's but wouldnt fit. very nice in axis. the factory unit was not that bad in the axis better than the deluxe.

Well they are showing them on their website now:

If you look at the chamberings they are showing for both right and left-hand.

It only species a RH model for the regular axis but there is a left hand youth model. Maybe I missed something.
