Will these parts work?

So I have a .260 barreled action, 4.25 spacing. I have a blind stock to fit.

Will a center feed mag box, follower and spring from a blind stock with 4.475 spacing fit this action and stock?

NO! you have a stagger feed spacing action. Center Feed only fits the 4.4" spacing.

I looked pretty hard to find the answer to this but have yet to find a definitive reference.

Am I reading correctly then that a staggered feed mag box assembly from a 110 308 will work for me? I need a staggerfeed from a series 1 or 2 savage?

And the series 1 short actions were the only ones to have three digits in the model number right?
