I'm wanting to add a muzzle brake and will someday have a suppressor, so I would like to send out my barrel to get threaded.
This is one of the .260 SS Shilen barrels that Midway was selling.
I will want it cut for 5/8-24 threads.
Anybody have a recommendation for a 'smith and a brake?

Sinman or Ross Schuler.

I have two of Ross Schuler's brakes. One on a 308 Win and one on a 300 Win Mag. Both are 5/8"x24tpi.
They work great and look fine! He does great work and is very reasonable with his cost.
He will thread your barrel and install a brake.
Later,
Charlie

Here's another vote for Ross. His turn around time is very fast and he does a great job. I've never dealt with Sinman, but he seems to do very good work as well just going off all the posts of his work. You'll need to mark the top center of your barrel installed on the rifle, so it can be indexed properly.

Any Suppressor dealer should be able to, or know a good source.
Also as the threads for suppressors are a standard(caliber dependant) ANY machine shop worth their salt should be able to do it.

He makes muzzle brakes. He will also install them on a bare barrel.

Does great work for a fantastic price.

Feel free to contact me for info on muzzle breaks and threading, ive been busy doing them all fall and winter. Seems like this year everyone is buying big magnums and want to tame them down some. That 260 would be nice with a break, I just put one on my 6.5x47 and 284...
