Personal experience, but not personal ownership of a WW. A very good friend and shooting buddy has a 16FCSS in .308. He had his BBL cut down to 18" and threaded as he wanted a light, weather-resistant 'walking' rifle. I'll be quite frank and say that I love it. Groups well at 100 and 200 that I've tried it at. I'm thinking about getting one myself in .223 and having the same done.

I have five or six of them and have had a few more. 223 Rem, 22-250, 6mm BR, 243Win, 7-08, 308Win & 300WSM. All left handed. It's all good.

I have one in 300WSM, its one of the most accurate rifles I've used.

Same as all the rest, just stainless. I used one for my 257WSM and another far a varmint rifle project.

How is the ww different than the stainless steel?

I have one in 300WSM. It shoots better than I can.

It's not different, it is stainless steel. All of the model 16/116 series have stainless steel actions and barrels with synthetic stocks and are named "Weather Warrior" as Savage's marketing name.

I have one in 300 win. It is topped with a Huskemaw blue diamond, and will shoot 2 inch groups at 600 yards, the only thing I did to it is a little bedding in the fore end and around the recoil lug, more to add weight then anything else.

My WW was the basis for my custom. Action is the same as the others (excluding the target'actions). WW are as good as any other rifle.

I have a couple but my favorite is my 116FLCSAK in 30-06 that I bought in the the mid 90s. It's been bughole accurate. Best group to date was 10 rounds into .446 at 100yds with 165 SGK hpbt and IMR4350.

I like the stainless action, and had a custom rifle built on one that has worked out well.

Works every time, looks and performs great.

I bought a lefty for my daughter in 243. It now wears a 257 Roberts barrel. Light weight, floor plate release, accurate, what's not to like?
