Savage Model 11 Barrel Swap

So what i've read on this fourm is that I can take my savage model 11 22-250 and buy the barrel replacement kit for the 110 series and convert it to a 243 or 308 since they are short action? Thanks Love the fourm

Yes you can change a 22-250 to a .308 or .243. Brian Brown.

Some caliber changes require bolt or bolt head and magazine changes as well. Ie...223 to 308 family.

I think the replacement kit comes with a barrel nut wrench and go/no go guages, which you will need. If you do not already own or have access to an action wrench, I would recommend investing in one. I and alot of other folks have tried to remove a factory Savage barrel with out the action wrench, only to have to eventually break down and buy one later. It sure does make the process much easier.
