223 action flv12? what caliber barrel changes can i do?

I've got a left hand 223 bull barrel, accutrigger, wanting to do something different with it. what calibers can i change it to? even strange calibers. what about something like a 20-223, 17-223? I am wanting to get some FPS out of it. 3900 and up.

Easiest would be .204 Ruger.

Welcome to the beauty of the Savage rifle, you imagination is the limit on caliber choices.(Withen reason no rimmed cases.) With the bolt head you have anything based off of a 223 family of cartridges can be chambered. IE 222 rem, 222 rem mag, 221 fireball, 17 rem (which is a 17 cal 223.), 204 ruger, 20 pratical (which is a 20 cal 223.), 6x47 rem, 300 wisper, and the list goes one. (Some may and some may not feed out of the factory magazine.)
If you change bolt heads, and either change magazines, or single shot it you can change to about anything else that will fit on a short action. such as 22-250, 243, 308, 7mm08, 6BR, 25-06 (Yes it will fit a short action.) 7 WSM, 300 WSM, 284, 6.5x284 and the list goes further on. With a custom bolt head you can even go further. Savage started offereing gun in 7.62x39 so that open up the relm of 6PPC, 6.5 grendal, 20 titan, and so forth. Literly thousands of diferent caliber are at your choosing.
