I'm either going with a 260 Rem or 7mm RSAUM, not sure which yet.

Just finished a 25-223 AR15 upper.

Just ordered a SS 338 fed barrel to upgrade my dads 223 savage.
I use that rifle a lot.

Probably will set up a 338-06 for myself later in 2012.

I have a Model 16 action for which I want a 7mm SAUM heavy sporter barrel;
a striker in 300WSM that I'd like to try a 20" .22PPC barrel so my daughters can shoot it;
and a Model 11 action that is crying for a 6.5 Creedmoor heavy sporter barrel.

Just finished up a 116 in 300 win mag, its wearing a CBI light varmit, and setting in a hogue stock till I can get a manners. I had the action blue printed and the barrel has been fluted and is wearing a break. on top sit's a 5x20 Huskemaw blue diamond in a set of talley rings that I had machined down the front ring so its now 20 moa. Its pushing a 197 jlk vld at 2964, I had it out last week at the range and 1000 wasnt to much of a challenge, so I stepped it out to 1277 and put 3 out of 4 shots right where they were meant to go. today I was able to try it out at 1500, i was able to get2 of 6 shots on steel in gusty wind conditions. if I had been able to get my butt out of bed when I wanted to the conditions would have been better. Now Im thinking of building my 300 wsm into a 270wsm.

Just recieved my 270 wby barrel today ;D All I need to get is the Cerakote and have mscott do "turbo" bolt knob. Scope should be here by Monday. My build is as follows: Douglas premium 270wby 1:9twist, #5 barrel straight taper to .700 26" plus the Harold brake,hvy duty recoil lug, on 110 flat back,mag bolt head, B&C stock, Egw 20moa base,anti cant picatinny level, weaver tact rings, vortex viper 6.5x20x44 mildot and 6-9" cadwell bi pod. Going to Cerakote barrel, action,mag well, egw base,lug, bolt and handle coyote brown.Pretty much everything but scope and rings. Stock is spider webbed tan and going to bed action and lug.
This is my first build and may have some questions as I go along. I have been reading everything I can to get prepared for this build. This site has been a great information source to do this build. The original rifle was a 110 270win I bought for my father for his birthday. He's been gone now for 10yrs. I'm doing this as a tribute rifle to ole' man for making the shooter and hunter I'm today.

Sounds nice.

My 91 YO dad has a 270 weatherby deluxe.
He never shoots it any more.

I loaded it up with some 85 gr barnes bullets just to see what it would do.
Hot barrel is what it did. Think about 3800 or so but there was more to go.
Really needed some reloader powder and I probably would have gone over 4000.

I have a Savage 270 I like better so I just stick with that. I load it with 95 gr barnes TTSX sometimes
to 3700 and it makes a real mess. I should load up the 270 WBY with some 160 gr partitions some time.

7mm-08 build headed to the range tomorrow. Will get some photos if I remember. I might have too much fun shooting it and my other rifles. HS stock, ER Shaw barrel, model 11 action, Sightron 4-16. Pulling the scope off my Howa .223 to replace with a 4-12 Bushnell 3200 with DOA 600 reticle. Great reason to shoot both rifles.

Just got done with a 6br build off of a 112v single shot. Thinking about a 30/338win mag. or maybe a light 308 for hunting.

I'm just waiting on my barrels to arrive.My Savage 12FLV 308 will become a 6.5 Creedmoor or a 7mm-08,and I'm still debating a 458 SOCOM bolt gun to go with my AR15 in that caliber.

Didn't plan on building anything new till a friend "Made me an offer I couldn't refuse". ::)
Neal Cooper center core SP rear grip stock, 16" Benchmark SS barrel in .204 Ruger and accessories. Thinking about a 20 caliber low recoil rig and this one hit me between the eyes. Only problem? It felt too good to pass up. 8)

Converted a Stevens 200 223 to a nice
compact 300BLK. 16" McGowen SS, sporter weight barrel with threaded muzzle, EGW scope base and Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 optic. Awesome with the Thunderbeast 30p-1. Just need to work on the trigger.

Currently bedding a 35 Whelen with an older (F-serial number) staggerfeed action.
Using the original stock.
Widened the channel for the varmint contour barrel.
Drilled and installed two crossbolts. (Still need to insert and flush sand the cherry plugs I made).
Now, I am waiting on my first time ever pillar and bedding job to dry.
Then, I'll finish reinforcing the wrist, refinish the stock, work on the 3-screw trigger and do some more bolt polishing. I might even shoot it someday!

I am also working on finishing up mods to my .223 axis.
My MKII is torn apart waiting for a pillar an bedding job (harder than it looks...too many nooks and crannies.
I am also slowly working on a .458 Magnum build.
...and...
am waiting for my Gunshack 6.5x55 swede barrel, so can get started with that project.

I make no promises as to what will be completed in 2012. ::)
