If anyone else has been keeping tabs, Hodgdon has been killing off the Winchester powder line for years now.
Go to their site and look up loads for the 223 & 308. Specifically look at Win 748!! Or notice that they keep(relativly) new pressures/loads for H414, but not Win 760. Those two powders are THE SAME.

Now they have a press release about a new powder CFE223. They claim to have finally brought us a copper fouling fighter that was developed by the military. What they don't tell you, is that copper fighter(a tin compound) has ALREADY been in Win 748 & 760 for SEVERAL DECADES!

I really wish Ohlin would liscense the Winchester products to a company who would actually support the brand.

If they're the same, why does it matter what label is on it ?

It wouldn't matter a whit except that the Winchester labeled powder usually sells for less $$$.

Which two powders are the same?
Win760 and H414. Win296 and H110. There are a couple of others across other brands as well.

Try Powder Valley. Hodgdon is cheaper in all of the above, and HP-38 vs W231
