Barrel swap for a 10gxp3

hi all, i'm new here i've looked around but i haven't found the answer i was looking for. I have a 10gxp3 i bought new 2 years ago chambered in .223 rem and I was wondering how hard it would be to switch it over to a .270 or .308? From the posts i have read apparently it is pretty easy to do, but i want to know if these calibers are possible to convert to or not.

Welcome to the forum.

Your 223 is a short action. As a 270, your rifle would only work as a single shot - the loaded rounds would be too long for any magazine that would fit it.

To change it to a 308, you would need to change the barrel, magazine and bolt face. Changing the bolt face would probably mean you would need to adjust the firing pin length too.

well it looks like 270 is out of the picture then as i don't want to have a single shot. Are there any recommended vendors to get the parts to convert to 308?
