View Full Version : Stock stiffening ?

How are you guys stiffening the recoil lug area from flexing, on a Stevens 200 long action staggerd feed stock? I'm not concerned with the fore end, just the recoil lug area. Pictures would help me alot. Thanks so much. :)

This is what I did, I put JB weld mixed with fiberglass strands a.k.a. (chop) in the oval holes along side of the front pillar. That's all I can see, that would stiffen the recoil lug area. Maybe it's not even a problem, but I've read on here, of that area flexing. Please contribute.

Most just get rid of the tupperware and get new stocks....I got Duramaxx.

I've never read on here of anyone attempting to stiffen the recoil lug area in a Tupperware stock. Not saying no one is trying, just not much posted. Most stock stiffening threads are dealing with the forearm area.

Look at it this way, you are a trailblazer!
