Bolt Installation Help

This is my first rifle and I need help. I cant even install the bolt right. I lined up things correctly and pulled the trigger and depressed the side bolt release, but there is some kind of black screw on the bolt assembly that blocks it from being fully installed.
Not sure if this matters but it is a brand new rifle and is a left handed model. The side bolt release is in front of the trigger and my manual doesn't seem to align to this model whatsoever.

Your rifles firing pin has been tripped, you need to recock the bolt. You can do this by putting the black screw thing your talking about on the edge of a work bench with the bolt handle up and pull down till it clicks in the detent at the top of the slot. It's under spring tention so it will pull hard. Be carful not to let it slip of the edge of the bench.
