box to a detachable mag

I have a old style model 11 savage 223 with the blind box set up. I believe it holds 5 rounds pushed inside. I was wondering if this action can be converted to take a mag. I was thinking of the CDI bottom metal.

Yep CDI bottom metal will work, stock will need to be inlet for it.

For savage CDI and Accurate-Mag are your options for bottom metal basically. They run AICS pattern mags.
