Was having problems getting both of my Stevens to feed soft point bullets. They would hit the breech face and dig in to the lead, stopping the feed cold. After investigating with a flashlight, I notice the bottom of the action in both rifles was hitting the top of the magazine casing at the front along the two rounded corners, pushing the mag down about 0.030" when the action was tightened to the stock. With a flat file, took the same amount off both mags at the radius areas only, and both now feed soft points perfectly every time.
