Who makes a good tactical/varmint style stock for the 110 action with staggerfeed, blind magazine, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Of course I like the Manners and McMillans, but don't want to shell out $500.

A lot of folks are using the Choate and getting CDI btm metal.

I think the choate tactical for long action is actually for staggerfeed. Tactical works or combat stocks usually have good prices. Should run you around $220 or so.

Ok I'd go with Stockade if you don't mind a wait of 16+ weeks. Great stocks. I've got a woodchuck on my 300wm and love it. Lighter than the Choate for sure. If you simply must have it now then go Choate.

I have four of them...elk-hunters, bought them in the money saver and finished the work nyself.....great stocks.....BUT long, long wait (16 weeks is being kind).

The Duramaxx is not a bad stock either and is economically priced.

Oh nice! I didn't catch that it was a staggerfeed. Bed the action into the stock, put a cheek piece on it and tactical it is. They are a decent stock. I cut one a while back on a mill to fit a long action centerfeed with factory DBM metal. Turned out real nice.

I built a 260 on a Savage 110 LA with DBM and a heavy Shilen barrel - I used the SSS LVT with all the bells and whistles. It's a beautiful stock that does everything you want. I would recommend them without hesitation - but be prepared for a wait (all good stocks come with a wait!). I think they're up to 10 - 12 weeks now. Give em' a call and see.
