When Do The Sales Run @ Dicks!

OK first of all yes I admit it, I am a tight wad. I have been going to Dicks every week to see if my Savage AXIS in 308 is on sale yet. Does anyone know when Dicks will put their guns on sale?

I have heard a bunch of people say they have bought their AXIS for around $280 on sale.

Cabela's will have them on sale for $249 every now and again.

Right now they have the axis / scope combo on sale $329 camo and $379 stainless/ camo
I havent seen the non combo on sale in a while but it also looks like the scope is also stainless on the stainless combo

Trust me you do not want any part of the scope that comes in the combo, stainless or not, they are total crap and not worth $20.

I like dicks sporting goods for a good few things; they usually have pretty good ammo deals now and again.

I just bought my stevens 200 in 30-06 for 267.00 at a gander mountain. Gander always seems to have a rack for the new but clearance because it's been in stock for two years rifle. All three gander mtns have one of these tables/racks.

The only reason I bought a 200 over a axis/edge is because it was readily available and the cheapest option around. None the less I will be happy with the ability to have some more flexible options as far as aftermarket goes.

how bad could the scope be? I'll only be shooting from 100 yards at the range. Last year I bought a Savage 17 HMR and it came with a cheap 3 - 9 and it's ok for what I do. Maybe after the holidays they will go on-sale. If not then hopefully after the 31st when hunting season ends.

Cabelas ad for instore December 15-24.. Axis for $249, $329 for the camo stock combo with scope. Thats the pricing on the Kansas City ad anyways.
