I want to purchase the egw 20moa 1 pc base for my Stevens 308. Doyouguys know if i need the round long acTion or the round short action dor my 308? Thanks

If it is a stock rifle, then it should be a short.

Are you sure that is what you want? Do you plan on shooting at 100 yards or is this a 600-1000yd gun? How many MOA does your scope have?

Probably 100-400 for now.

I don't think you need a 20 moa base. Your money. You only need about 10/11 moa dialed in your scope for 500 yds with a 175 gr SMK at 2500 fps MV.

+1, a 20 MOA base may give you problems trying to sight at 100 yards, you may run out of adjustments and still be too high.

Go with the Burris Signature Zee rings and you can always adjust the MOA offset later with the inserts to get exactly what you want. Luck, Tim

My experience with that combo is that it leaves the scope too high off the rifle. It was too bad really because I like my EGW bases and have 3 of them installed and I like my Signature Zee rings but the fact that the lowest Sig Zees are medium height keeps them from working well together.
