Dose the Axis require lubrication on the sear engagement surface?

Grease on any sear can be dangerous. It's safer to run them dry.

Ok dry it is.I think I`ll try polishing with JB bore cleaner and a dremil polish pad.Quick ? how do you get ride of the creeeeeeeep out of these triggers.I`m trying to use this rifle without putting any money into it for the fun of it.

I stoned couple thou off the sear shelf and polished everything with 2000 grit sand paper.Creep is gone and its breaking nicely at 3.5lb.This should be a good weight for winter coyote hunting since I`ll be wearing gloves at -20c.

I just recently bought the 223 camo axis, and it came with a grey lube on the sear. By the way this is the best "as is" shooting gun I have ever purchased. Without any load development I have shot a couple 200 yard 3 shot groups at under 1 inch, and shot 5 clay pigeons in a row at 330 yards a couple of week ago, still not much over 50 rounds through the barrel. I have replaced the trigger spring, but have not yet had a chance to try it with the new spring.
