Thinking of doing a 5.7x28mm on a LRPV action I have laying around. Is there anyone making a 0.314" bolt head? Has anyone done something similar to get the round to feed into the chamber?

That is a really big action for a round that is very short. A loaded 5.7 round is over 1/8" shorter than a piece of 5.56 brass. I hate so see people use an action too big for their round; a .308 in a long action, a .223 in a short action... That is why I like the mini-mauser type actions CZ uses for the 527 rifles. I have been wondering if I could do a 5.7 on a CZ 452 rimfire action. I built my RBRP Target action into a 6.5x284, a round most people use a long action for.

Had the same thought myself but the little round will not feed from even a standard single shot :'( Looks like it will however work in the CZ527....or maybe an Encore barrel reamed out???
Fred mentioned something about building an action for this little bugger??

SSS may be able to make you a bolt head. I know that they have chambered a rifle in 20 pdk, and I think it necked down version of the round your looking at.
