I had looked into a different Weaver scope at Midway and found that it was also a 'Kaspa' scope. According to a few threads over at the 'Hide, the Kaspa series appears to be a lower-cost Weaver made in China. I cannot confirm or deny that, only passing along what I read.

+1, poster on snipers hide stated he contacted Weaver customer service and they confirmed the scope was made in China. Scope is aimed at the youth shooter market as an entry level scope with the tactical look of more expensive scopes.
