Just a FYI, I recently purchased and installed a Rifle Basix trigger on my savage 16 and could not have been happier. This trigger was of the highest quality and was very easy to install. The instructions for ajusting were very clean and I had the trigger set to my liking within 5 minutes and it is extremely crisp. I am posting this because I know there are many of you trying to decide what trigger to buy and I can only speak my my personal experience with Rifle Basix, but I am one very happy customer.

It was less than $95 with shipping, I placed my order on a Sunday via the internet and received trigger on Wednesday.

I've no experience with the Rifle Basix center fire Savage replacement trigger but I did install one of their SAV-RAT trggers on my MkII BTVLS ( .22LR, heavy barrel stainless steel rim fire) and am very happy with the results. The trigger was easy to install and adjust and made a real difference in the pull weight and quality.

I got one from Riflebasix website, 84.95 shipping was free. I used it to take 8 point buck just few days ago, it worked flawlessly, but I did ran into few concerns and I had to readjust it, I did posted my findings here http://savageshooters.com/SavageForum/index.php/topic,45370.msg312112.html#msg312112
