I should have one in the mail depending on Buds. Is there any tips or tricks I should know. Any thoughts on barrel break in.

Use what savage recommends for break-in. If it's anything like mine don't clean after that until accuracy starts going away. They seem to shoot better dirty. Mine is shooting in the 4's @ 200 yds. and hasn't been cleaned for about 50 rds.

Do like most do.....Just shoot it until the accuracy falls off
and then clean it, then shoot some more!!.

BTW....it took around 75-100 rounds to settle in and now it's
a tack driver.

I always clean a new rifle before going out to shoot it. I've found all kinds of stuff that shouldn't be in there (metal shavings, styrofoam, etc) when cleaning a "new" firearm.

Other than that, pick up some good ammo and go shoot. When you decide it's dirty, clean it. It will foul like crazy for the first couple times you take it shooting, but after that it will calm down.
