Will the 1:11 barrels stablize 162gr A-max? And why does anyone not want them?? Is the faster twist really needed? I will probably shoot 130 or 150SMKs, maybe a few 140Nosler BTs, and maybe some of the old Hornady 162 interlocks. Just wondering???

Good luck with the 162's. My old 11-twist wouldn't do any better than 4-5" at 100yds with any of the assortment of 140's I tried to feed it. Wasted a fair amount of money on ammo before I discovered the twist was 1-11, not the standard 1-9.25. I never tried any 120's; I got frustrated and the barrel came off. The 1-9.25" Adams and Bennett that replaced it shoots 140's about 1".
Lighter bullets, like 120's, may do better in the 1-11.

+1, stick with the 120's and maybe 130 grain in that twist.
