My first kill this year with this rifle since 2004.
It sports the Choate ultimate varmit stock with all 3 butt plate spacers (needed longer screws too)
im a long armed link and needed the extra LOP.
Leapers 4-16x56 Mill dot scope
Rifle basix sav-1 trigger
With the bipod it weighs 10lb 13oz.

Doe walked out into the tall grass around 125yds away while i was walking. wrapped the sling around my arm and fired off a shot.
Neck shot and didnt move an inch.
I was aiming for the shoulder though lol
Went by the range and made sure the gun/scope was still ok, which it was.
Its so easy for me to jerk the trigger if i dont take extra time to walk myself through the shot.

Nice doe. Where did this happen and what caliber? Neck shot a young buck about ten yrs ago with a .60 caliber caplock rifle at 75 paces. Droped like a stone. Running uphill on an old logging road diagonaly away from me here in Northern NH. And yes, I aimed at the neck. Only other shot was in his butt.

That is a very nice doe! I have the same rifle/stock but in 06. That weight sure does help with the recoil and it is not that bad once I sling it on my shoulder.
