I have a stagger feed 7mm rem mag I want to shoot 168 Bergers out of it as a repeater but my OAL is too long for the mag. The OAL is not however to long to fit the frame just the blind mag attached to the frame. Is there someone that makes a mag to acomadate all the frame has to offer of a fix for this?

The only way I know is rather costly due to time involved but it does work.

I just got in a short action that had been modified by someone for the same reason - just different caliber:

A mag box was modified to accomodate the longer rounds - basically cut and rewelded.

A modified follower and spring had been made.

Receiver bottom opened up and slot that holds the box moved accordingly to reattach the larger mag box.

Feed ramp seemed OK but a little work would have made it smoother.

They had also ground the baffle shorter to allow the bolt to come back farther -quite crude but worked.

I shoot the same bullets outta my sf 110 in 7 mm rem mag. They shot ok loaded to lands but just to see I loaded .045 off lands which fit in my mag and was fortunate to find a very tight group. May help ya out if ya give it a shot and Berger recommends backing off .040 at a time to see what you get. Good luck!

I think Sharpshooter here on this site is the one to fix that problem for you.
