7mm STW help

Hi guys, new to the forums here and new to the custom game. Have a question for ya'll. I was wanting to do a semi-custom rig with a savage action chambered in 7mm STW. My question is what do I need to make this a repeater. This will be a hunting rig and I plan on a shilen barrell and a aftermarket synthetic stock. From my understanding my bolt needs to be chambered in 7mm Mag which is not an issue. My only concern is will I be able to shoot berger VLD's and still be able for it to be a repeater? Any and all advise on what I need to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum The Pickle! It depends on how deep you seat them. That being said, in my STW I load 180 gr Berger VLD's and I seat them long for little or no jump to the lands and they are too long for the magazine. It has been a single shot for years, doesn't really bother me now.

find a 375 H&H or one of the ultra mag actions to get the longest box. not really any other options for factory parts.
