Welcome to the addictive world of Savage rifles. A friend had the identical rig (actually 2 of them) to yours about 7-8 years back when I started shooting with him. I was a true green M700 fan had (still have) a safe full of them to prove it. When we got to his range, I laughed at that plastic stock echeapo Savage rifle... that was until he started shooting it. His $400 straight-out-of-the-box Savage was kicking my tricked out Remmy butt. I thought flute... no way that rifle can consistently shot that well. We shot again several times over the next 3 months. Both of his rigs were consistent 0.5-0.7 MOA rigs out to 300 yds. I purchased my first Savage (Stevens) a few months later and never looked back. My Remmies have become safe queens. I don't think you can find a better value. I also have 2 of the Super Snipers. You will like that scope as well. Crosshairs are thicker that I like, but still excellent value and they track really well.

I can stay Varget and 69 Sierra Match Kings are made to go with this gun. Luck with your rifle, Tim

Saw this at the Hide as well. It looks like a great combo.

I really enjoy the Savage 223s. You will too.
