It's just ridiculous what they are charging for their 6.5 brass, and with Lapua offering the Palma brass, I'm thinking I'm gonna just form 6.5 from Palma brass. I've got my 6.5 Redding body die on the way, and that'll get me close enough I'm thinking. I'm interested to see if anyone else has gone this route, and I'll for sure report on my findings when I run this little experiment.

I've done it with 7mm/08 brass w/o issues. When I tried 308, I had problems with wrinkles in the shoulder of the case. I was using RP and Federal brass so that may have a bearing on my problem.

Just checked Powder valley prices ( best I've found so far) how can brass that is smaller be 35$ MORE a hundred. 70ish vs 104ish. I got lucky and picked up 1100 pieces from powder valley when it was 88$ a box. ( midway was selling for 131$ then) Everytime I ordered something from them I thru in a couple of boxs. Will be back in the states in a month ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Then hitting the 6.5 X 47 build really hard. TWO CBI barrells from NSS sitting at the house.

Haven't heard of anyone making 6.5x47L from .308 Win, but I have heard of a few folks making 6.5 Creedmoor from .308 Win... generally it sounds like a lot of work - sizing, neck-turning, trimming, possible neck-reaming, etc.

I'm gonna try it with some annealed LC brass and see how it goes. My Redding Body Die should be here tomorrow from Grafs.
