savage lrp results

Went behind my house the other day to shoot my savage lrp .260 that I ordered from jim at northland. I putI a old simmons 3x9x40 on it and First 3 shots 100 yards out of the gun measure .5695. I was very impressed so I quit there and am waiting on my pst to come in later this wek before I sight it in.

That's one badazz stock target stick for the $$, from what I've read.
I've just bought an older Model 10 for the action, by the time I buy a Timney, new barrel, and new stock I could've saved a few hundred...

Let us know how the load development goes. I've read it likes the heavier (140's) bullets even more...

After 3 trips back to savage my LRP in 243 is shooting in the 2's @ 200 yards with 95 grn Bergers and 75 grn Vmax. When I first got it groups were over 2" @ 200 yd. Never did figure out what they did to it.
