As the title says, I need some feedback on this rifle, I will be picking mine up in about two days. Ammo recommendations also would be greatly appreciated. This will be my second Savage , I have a BTVS .22 Mag and it is an EXTREMELY accurate rifle, it almost goes to the range every week.Hopefully I will be as pleased with the Model 10,what do all ye wisdom think?

I just picked mine up a few weeks ago. I had a few issues with it but now that I have found a load and got the stock fitting correctly it is a tack driver. I am now glad I went the extra for the Accu stock. I have 400 or so rounds through it now and got to shoot some 300 and 400 yard groups yesterday. I did not have a group over 2" and we had some 10mph winds that showed on the targets.

Here is a picture of my first good group after working my stock issue out and finding that my rifle likes the bullet seated very close to the lands. 100 yard target 1/4" grid on the paper.

What was the stock fitting issue?

Basically the action would not tighten down to the bedding block. I finally found this out due to the bottom metal not being flat but Guipago gets the credit I just read his post and started checking and sure enough it was my problem as well. I've linked both threads below you can check them out. Now I can shoot a nice group remove the action from the stock and reinstall it and it will still shoot a nice group.
Good luck it is simple to do if you even need it.
