I have a model 11 in 300wsm and has the hard rubber recoil pad if you wanna call it that and the only recoil pads I can find are for the 110 are these universal? I called savage to buy one of there softer ones but they said it wouldnt fit. Im very very happy with how the rifle shoots but I would like to bring the recoil back just a touch. Which pad is the best to use?
Thanks in advance

Try a Limbsaver pad. they make screw on and slip on. I think MidwayUSA and Brownells sells them. Similar to the soft Savage pad.

You'll find the prefits labeled for wood stock or composite stock making choosing easier.

The Limbsaver pads are a lot softer than the Pachmyer pad Sha-Ul sent the link for. Since shoulder surgery on the rt. shoulder I will probably have to get one for my .35 Whelen.
