New mk11BV problems ,Dicks sporting goods policy

Two weeks ago I ordered a new mk11 BV from Dicks. At 50 yards gun was shooting 2 in. plus groups. I tried many types of ammo and even with the best match grade ammo groups never droped below 1 plus in. Upon examination of the gun it was discovered the crown was rough, cutter chatter and was not cut square. I took it back to Dicks and was told they have a strick no return policy on guns but offered to send the defective BV back to Savage for repair or replacement. It was sent back today.
Anyone had experience getting Savage to repair a gun correctly? This is my first post on this sight but will let you guys know how this plays out.

I've never had to send any of my three savage rifles back. From what I've read here there's only been two or three that didn't have the problem solved the first time it was sent back. Good luck.

A freind had to send his Cub .22 youth back because it was shooting 6" high @ 25yds.
Turn around was 8 weeks, but they did fixe the issue.
