I see a lot of posts from people that would like to see Savage chamber rifles in thier favorite but not well known cartridges. Wont happen with a small market. My wish list is different. I would like to see some bright young engineer figure out how to apply a Mauser claw extractor to a savage bolt. I am sure it can be done, most anything can be done if enough effort and genius is applied. Look at what a briliant idea it was 120+ yrs ago. I like my Savages, but I love my Mauser. Another thing, I would like to see, Savage strike a deal with Fred Moreo to license his tooling for fixing the ramps and so forth on the receivers. In other words a factory timing and trueing job. Fred could retire to do what he likes to do, custom beauties that shoot and selling aftermarket good stuff.
It seems to me that Fred had some discutions along those lines with Savage at one time.
