I've been fiddling around my barrel nut for about 3 days and could not get it off. Tried heat, jb blaster, hammer blow but no luck. My block could not keep it from turning even with a lot of rosin. Tried to get an action wrench here in Canada but after shipping charges it came up way over 100$, not even counting crazy customs fees.

So I did some research and found a desing ont another forum that one guy had design for mauser action (yes I know I don't have a lot of design credits on this one). Got a piece of 1-1/2" angle Iron. Dremeled out the recoil lug area. Got a 1-1/2" muffler clamp and rounded a piece of 1-1/2" flat bar to fit around the action and welded this on the Muffler clamp..... but you'll notice I am not a welder...LOL but it holds, good enough.

Tried the wrench and did not like how the bottom was fitting on the flat top of the angle. I cut down a relief and bent down and reweld to have a much nicer fit. Also added a flat piece in front of the recoil lug to insure no slippage. Re-tried and voila..... the nut has been broken loose.

Tought I'd share this.

Here we go for pictures:

Cool. Looks like it should work pretty well. Be sure to tape the action up with a couple wraps of painters tape(or similar) so it dont scratch the action.

I actually put a layer of duct tape on the wrench surfaces, work really well.
