I have a 7 twist barrel that is 26" long.

Starting at roughly 3400 FPS 53 grain SMK's vaporize. They generally vaporize somewhere between 25 and 50 yards. They do have a thinner jacket than most though. I am using H335 for the powder.

At roughly 3800 FPS 40 grain V-Max some bullets vaporize. I would guess 2 out of 5 will. I am using H335 for the powder.

I will say some of the most accurate groups I have fired out of my 7 twist have been with 69 grain SMK's over 24.5 grains of Varget. Depending on primer they run 2750 to 2950. Wolf SRM gives me the high number while CCI 400's give me the low number. The Wolf SRM's did cut my SD down to single digits. I do also match bullets based on bearing surface length of the bullets. The brass has had the primers pockets and flash holes uniformed as well.
