Savage Actions

I've asked locally and searched online, but do you guys know of anywhere to get one's paws on savage actions? I know I can get target actions, but is there an easy way to get say a Savage 10 action alone? I'm wanting to build a gun for a friend of mine, but I just want to start from the ground up instead of having extra stuff sitting around.

Jim at Nothland carries the target and other actions, Stevens 200, 110 etc, give him a call.

I know Fred at SSS used to have just the action. No idea if he still does

how much would one generally pay for just the action? if i recall correctly, i see the target ones go for about 500.

there is one in the classifieds now for $300, I think a new one may be a little higher depending on what you want. A stevens will be cheaper than that, I think Jim has them (stevens) for around $235 -- Check out the Northland link on this site.
