Ok, this probably sounds stupid to some but I have a Savage 110 chambered in .243 and want to convert to .223

So the is marked 110, it has a long action stock but a traditionally short action cartridge. My question is, with a .223 bolt face and barrel, does that make the conversion complete? I plan on this being a single shooter so I dont really have any concerns with mag issues but i would appreciate some input (besides go buy another gun in .223....lol)

Thanks!

Add a single shot follower and you're done. Remember, it's a "Savage" so it can be just about any caliber you want. 8)

You can also use the .223 baffle that is longer due to the dogleg on it to shorten up your bolt throw.

Long action .223's use a long action bolt head, which are now obsolete. You must use a short action bolthead and an extended firing pin stop nut to make it work. As standard stagger feed .223 box and follower will fit.
