This GB auction has pictures of a Savage Model 12 that looks like it has a flat top receiver and it states its an accutrigger. I wrote the seller and asked them to verify its an accutrigger rifle. The response was "yes".

Is this possible?

Yes, they made some like that during the transition to the new accutrigger.

Check the last picture in the listing. That is a round/round receiver with flat back parts after that.

If it was a flat back, the black of the rear scope base would be black all the way - check the round sliver of silver peeking out.

Nice catch, It's probably still from the transition period. It should have a manufacture date around 2003.

I own one of each and that sure looks like a rd/rd to me. Quick

Others already saw what I just did, looks to be round with a flat top bolt.
