getting the 284 Win case to feed

Have any of you had luck getting the 284 win case to feed from a centerfeed short action? I've tried both 308 and WSM mag boxes and followers. The WSM is a little too wide and the 308 is a little too narrow. I just thought I'd see what others have come up with before I start bending mag lips.

You could locate a mag box used for the 6.5x284, that should have the feedlips set just right if you are not feeling like bending feedlips.

Other than that, I think you are bending feedlips. But bend away, those mag boxes are not hard to replace, and there is slim chance of screwing it up. Not like you are taking an ultramag box and trying to feed .223. Weather you take a .308 or a WSM box, should take just a little tweaking.

I ended up bending and polishing a 308 mag. It took a little work, but now it feed beautifully!
