New mod 12 help

Just got a mod 12 in a B&C stock off GB, heavy barrel .223 with a G prefix serial #. trying to determine if it is a small or large shank, is the "step" on the large shank visible with the barrel nut installed? Hoping to turn this into a 20 VT for squirrels, any info would be appreciated, Tim.

I did see those pics, I just wasn't sure if that step was covered by the barrel nut.

Thanks for the help, it seems from the lack of a step in the barrel and the longer barrel nut that I have the much less probable mod 12, G prefix, small shank guns.
