Leupold STD problems?

Anyone had problems with Leupold STD bases being really elevated in the front? I have a set that shoots 14" high. I am trying not to shim, but I am open to suggestions...

It's probably your action that's the problem. The easyest fix would be Burris signature rings, other than that shimming. The B.S.R. will give you a stress free set up, just use the 10 moa. inserts, then you will be approximately 4 inchs high.
