Which Savage Short action to buy

I am looking to buy a Savage short Action (only) to start a 6.5Cm build with pretty soon. Which short action would be best? i understand the target model would be great, but would a model 10 or 11 suffice? any feed back would be great!

10 & 11 actions are the same to the best of my knowledge.

When I bought mine they had a standard, varmint and the target models. The standard is your typical sporter action, the varmint is a heavier action with oversized bolt handle, dbm and accutrigger adjustable down to 1.5lbs., and the the target. I got the varmint.

So there is a difference in the action itself? I thought the only difference was the barrel/trigger.

i only have a 110 to go by but from a few pics iv seen the 10 and 11 look a bit different. i think i will go with the varmit action as stainless is awesome and i dont to have to parkerize another action.

The actions in the standard & varmint guns are the same, only diff is the larger bolt & you can easily swap the small one for the large.
I have both and they measure the same.
