The 12 LRPV Dual Port 6mm BR is available in 2 twist rates. 1 in 8 and 1 in 12. What range of bullets could one expect good results with the 1 in 12 twist? Thanks

This is a chart for twist rates for all bullet weights.

I had one in 1:8 twist, it shot 105 -107 gr bullets best, 87 gr did grouped under 1/2", but not like heavier bullets, I think 1:12 twist will handle up to 70 - 75 gr

According the the Savage site the LRPV in 6mmBR only comes in 1 in 12 twist.

The LRPV in a right bolt left port comes in both 1 in 8 and 1 in 12.

The 12 benchrest is a dual port that comes in 1 in 8 twist.

You could also have the gun built through the custom shop.

The 1 in 12 twist will handle bullets up to the range of 75grs. Each barrel is a bit different and what some will do others may not. IMO the 1 in 8 is the only way to go.

I came to the table w/ the same action and a 1in8 twist McGowan bbl. Itty bitty holes from the get go. You won't go wrong.
