Stockade gun stocks experience questions

yeh he is a good guy, I shot mine for along time before painting it I was still inletting, I am going to repaint some of my mistakes soon , you will like his stock.

I have a couple of Kevin's money saver stocks and I'm very happy with them and he delivered them faster than he promised.

looking nice, those some tactical stocks? what did you use to paint it? im liking the olive green look.

One is the tactical model stock, 7mm SAUM built on a RUM action with the metal coated with Norrell moly resin and the stock painted with Krylon camo paint. The other one is a benchrest model 30BR target action painted with Hyster rattle can touch up paint. I took the photo with a cell phone so that's why it's blurry.

The tactical stock was very easy to do because I didn't want a smooth finish. I sprayed it with some bed liner spray to texture it before I sprayed the Krylon on.

Kevin was very helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another stock from him.

Yeah, that tactical is real nice, if I pick up another savage (most likely will) ill get that one. Does it flex a lot? It looks really solid.

just want to follow up, i just ordered a rollover cheek thumbhole left handed (he has to design the mold, so its going to take a while), the AICS bottom metal for it, a tactical bolt handle and a bolt lift kit, its gonna take a while to get here (maybe 20+ weeks) but im pretty sure its worth it.

nrar15, what your stockade stock preference. And what stock takes the least prep?

i only have the money saver prdog i bedded it and shot it like that for seval months when i did finish it sanded a little mold line off the very tip of the fore arm and used scotch brite to rought it up a little and used aluma hide II od green its not perfect but i wasnt goning for perfect it

Seeing as how my post has been pinned :P I wanted to ask if anyone has pictures of the rollover thumbhole, hardly see them so pics would help me understand what I'm in for when it arrives.

I hope they're good, mine was ordered October 26 and I still don't have it. I called last week and was told maybe this week. Next time I'll look else where.
