recently purchased a 111 package in 300 win mag. this is a dbm, non accutrigger version, long action with the 5.06 spacing of action screws.. i want to order a barrel for it but do not know what shank it is, as i dont have the barrel off yet nor do i have a nut wrench yet to do this. what shank is this? please help so i can get my barrel on its way

It's probably a small shank. Measure the barrel nut, if it's 7/8in. long it's small shank. If it's 5/8in. it's large shank.
There's also an explanation in the FAQ section at the top of the page.

THE LARGE SHANK ALSO HAS A STEP DOWN ON THE BARREL JUST IN FRONT OF BARREL NUT THE SMALL SHANK DOES NOT HAVE A STEP.
