I have a Stevens 200 in 308 and I have a 26" stainless/fluted 223 barrel for my first barrel swap. I already have the barrel wrench and action vise. I'm ready to order a 223 stripped bolthead, a PTG go-gauge and thicker recoil lug. What other bolt parts, (ejector, extractor) do I need for this swap? Can I do without the ejector to keep my brass from flying off the table? Thanks.

You'll need a 223 extractor..use the spring & ball bearing from original bolt
No need for the ejector...like you said saves chasing brass in the dirt...

Try Ace for the spring and ball bearing spares....much cheaper !!
You're bound to lose some eventually

Save money to & use FL sized brass from your dies to headspace
Its no rocket science to set up a Savage barrel
