My plastic trigger guard on my 110 is cracked. I did a search for metal guards and found a few different brands. Does anyone have any info on which one you would recommend , or are they all the same ? Any help would be great , thank you .

I'd just go with the factory one. Either from Savage itself or from Brownells.

My metal one is narrower than my plastic one, both are from Savage.

your plastic one will probably also have a thicker area at the front screw, compared to the metal one. An easy fix to this is to make a spacer out of small flat-washers to even it up.

Thanks for the quick answers and tip on the spacers.

Definitely, replace with a metal one. The plastic version is not strong enough to properly hold the guard screw. the plastic guard will deform inward (indent) and ultimately crack. If you don't notice this problem, you can over tighten the screw, even such that the screw protrudes into the action.
