Has anyone ever made a Savage with a Manlicher style stock. I was thinking of a 7x57 with Manlicher stock for Africa if I ever get there. If you've seen one who made the stock?
Thanks Much

I've never seen a Mannlicher stocked Savage but, a good stock maker could make one for you.

I was looking at a couple of rifles with manlicher style stocks. They all have a metal barrel band type piece at the very forend of the stock. Any suggestions as to how I will tackle that obstacle.

Brownell's carries the schnable nose piece for mannlicher stocks. I've done one mannlicher stock for a Swede 38 Mauser carbine in 6.5X55 . It was a lot of work fitting the nose cap, along with completely reshaping a long rifle military mauser stock something I don't vare to tackle again anytime soon.
