Savage compatibility

OK, bought a Savage 11 in 300 wsm and standard trigger. Want to use the action for my large shank 300 blackout bull barrel. I plan on putting an aftermarket trigger in it, new bolt head for 223 sized brass, and a new follower and spring. I am looking at a stock from a savage model 12fp-sr that come from a accutrigger model. The guy who owns it says the mounting distance on the screws is 4.4" which is the same as my wsm model 11 action. Will this stock work for my action? Thanks in advance....

Since they both have the 4.4" distance it should fit just fine.

NO.. it will not. The accustock is different.

Hey good news - if you jump on savages website it lists the 10fp-sr as a non accustock model, which means it will work!!

Since sharpshooter has been doing this for a loooong time. I would probably want to take his advice. Just my 2 cents
