Hi, first post.
Wife got a MKII FV.
Before 200 rounds had been through the gun the hammer by the cocking pin started gouging.
Took the bolt apart to clean it up, didn't see any contamination. While burnishing the hammer to the bolt I noticed the striker pin "hump".
Set up makeshift V blocks, striker pin near the hammer indicated 0.007 inches (0.0035 inches off center), the firing pin end of the striker indicated 0.035~0.037 inches (0.018+- off center).
This may be a dumb question but is this normal? Does not seem right to me but I've worked with engineers and some of them have wacky ideas.
I cleaned the bolt and turned the hammer half turn on reassemble. Was getting some mis fires before this, only one since.
