Can some of you tell me the differences between these rifles and the interchangeability of them? I know a Stevens 200 is interchangeable with a Savage, what about the Axis and Edge? Are they interchangeable? What parts are different? How are they different? which rifles are "modifiable"? The market seems to be flooded with Axis and Edge (probably a very good reason for this) but not with Sanages or Stevens. What are the differences?

The only parts that are interchangeable are barrels and boltheads [short action].
The Edge/Axis is almost a rifle to itself. The only aftermarket parts I know of is a trigger.

The Axis & Edge are the same gun, there was an issue with the Edge name so they changed it to the Axis. The stevens is basiclly a savage without the accu-trigger. The Axis/Edge does not have after market mods available other than a trigger. Both are good guns, but if you want to do upgrades to it, you will have to get a Savage or Stevens. :)
